Shoutcast Server Stats is a PHP project which can be used for shoutcast stations.

Features:

  • Automatic reload of page every X seconds
  • Multilingual
  • Installer (>v0.4)
  • Admin panel (>v0.5)
  • Open source(GPLv3) and free to use

What will the future bring:

  • Ability to control your server from your admin panel
  • Disconnect DJ/Users
  • Ban or White-List ip addresses (as Shoutcast server allows)
  • Multi-admin (why not let your DJs do some admin work?)
  • Templates
  • Probably MySQL integration (files are good, but not so easy to implement a lot of things)
  • Bug reporting system
  • Automatic updating
  • And many more…

If you are using this script, please do not remove the copyright notice (as this one did), instead contact me to work out a solution. No I’m not gonna charge you money (although donations will be accepted in the near future).

I’m not trying to compete the already big interfaces out there. You can go with them, they are more tested etc. I’m just trying to give the world a free alternative ;)

If you want to help, in any way, leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

A small history:

This project started back in November of 2009, with 20 lines of code for the servers of an IRC network I am administrating. The network had 3 radios, and the others from the team wanted a script to show on the site what was playing. I was already ‘in love’ with PHP so I gave it a try, and after 3 days, those 20 magic code lines were doing their work. It wasn’t enough for me, so started this project, Shoutcast Server Stats, to help others manage their radios.  4 months, 3 versions & 227 downloads later (as the stats were while I was writing these lines[07/03/2010@18:31]),  the project has evolved from a single file of 2kb with 20 lines of code, to a 100kb with more than 800 lines of complexity (html/php/css). I’ve learned a lot but the project has just started, and I’ve got many more things to learn!
